Sunrise Christian is a top basketball prep school and we landed Ruben Guerrero from there during the last signing period. It would be great to get a player pipeline coming to USF

Doh, knew Sunrise sounded familiar but wasn't sure why. Also, from a linked article up above:

McMurray, a 6-foot sharpshooter, was a three-time all-state selection for Kansas perennial power Topeka Highland Park where he scored 1,155 points and made 202 3-pointers in his career. He averaged 19.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals a game as a senior helping the Scots to a 23-2 record.

Realize you never know how it will translate to next level but at least has a nice high school pedigree ...

Well if I'm not mistaken he hasn't played a game for Sunrise Christian just yet. This season will be his 1st and only time doing so. Will be interesting to see how he does. Also it will be interesting to see how he does at the point, because he will have to be able to play there some in college.

It is also where our only current commit for this class transferred to for this season.

Don't think anybody on this thread said he had played a game for them yet ... maybe you were referring to my use of the word "pedigree" ... I probably should have used "resume" instead.

To be attempting NBA range 3-pointers at the high school level (high school highlight video above), the kid must have a lot of confidence in his shooting ability. A sharp shooting 3-point threat is something we have been missing for a while and would be a much welcomed addition to USF basketball.

Yep.

I bet CoachO had some input in getting him to go there. It's good that they will be playing together. Perhaps, we'll get someone else from their team. They have quite a few high major players on their roster every year.
