I would disagree with the characterization that we were never "good." If you're winning 8-9 games a year you are good. We weren't great or even "very good" and certainly weren't consistent.

There is at least one positive if any is to be found. We had two first timers who will show up to more games this year and are getting season tickets next year. Trying to find anything at this point, and Friday is a must win, period.

Beating UCONN is a must to show we can bounce back from an atrocious performance. it's too bad we didn't have Harlan or someone like him 10 years ago so we could have had a game day tradition when the team was good. Let's just all hope we get through the troubled times and into brighter days where we compete with anyone. We kinda need to get back to the attitude of anyone anywhere like we had under Leavitt but with more discipline on the field.

We didn't exactly bounce back from the mediocre performance of either of the first 2 games, I'd be delightfully surprised to see them do it with UConn though.

-- Especially, taking into account the greater divide with the P5 and the G5 this year (and years following)

Hard to be patient when our starting QB FINALLY has a throw worth talking about and he is on the bench the next series. That was a WTF moment.

Nicely written piece, I only hope that you are right. Things are just bad around here right now....but we all stay...and we will be here when the times are good again. 

Give it time, he might turn it around.   Pleased that Taggart took responsibility, see if he fixes it on Friday night.
