Collusion seems to be the new business model for the NCAA and for "US" to work together. promote the crap out of the rivalry. I for one would root to see USF go undefeated into November, and the same for UCF, where the game has EPIC repercussions.... Just sayin...I hope USF has a great season and look forward to the showdown at the JAY....and in the future moving our "home" game to the Citrus bowl (after renovations) and having it underwritten by sponsors...create our own revenue streams....

It should come naturally. Last year would have been a great start if we had knocked you guys off your high charger, somehow ruining your season. That's how Rivalries really get going. I wouldn't be a big proponent of playing in the Citrus Bowl, other than it being closer to me than either home venue, but I would hardly call it a neutral site. Knightro, as you realize, we would have never said this 4 years ago. I don't think our schools will every truly like each other, and indeed, it's a tough thing. But it's also clear that we have higher profiles than FIU and FAU and that this conference matchup can be good for both teams. USF will of course need to get back to winning, but if we're pulling in 55-60k a year for an annual Thanksgiving day matchup (most likely on Black Friday), it's surely possible that this will happen. Rivalries are built through meaningful games. We had a fantastic rivalry with WVU for the years we were in the Big East, and even viewing the Bulls from Orlando I think you could see that. If USF wins the match up (which I think we will), it's hard to say whether it'll be a meaningful game because it's more ikely than not that at least one of us (and quite possibly two, seeing how much Houston, Cincy, and ECU have returned) will not have a conference championship on the line. That said, the talent is there at least short term for USF and UCF to pull talented recruiting classes and be in the top 25 every year. UF, FSU, and Miami surely CANNOT have it all, and nor can Georgia/Alabama/Auburn.

You're right. I thought it was the highest ranked in case of a tie ..... which is the way it should have been.

Want to be close to home, girlfriend, etc.. Talent overlooked. Like the coaching staff and system. Etc. etc. The NFL player of the year two years ago, Joe Flacco, went to Delaware. The P5 won't get all the great talent.
