There really isn't room for a stadium, but they managed to do it. The old Sugar Bowl used to be on their campus just south of the current stadium site... not much room but they've had bigger stadiums on campus. Too many of our alumni apparently don't want one yet. Harlan mentioned this at the Bulls Rally at Capogna's the other week.
