dont think we have a starting qb yet

agreed...but even if White is the QB to start, Bench has to be nipping at his heels.  Hopefully both see a lot of action against WCarolina.

Other than Davis Watson and Reiter I think no job is safe.

Cliett is safe, and Chandler probably. But you're right. Lot of competition.

I could be pre-mature, I think Godwin has serious NFL-potential. As long as he's grounded and keeps learning/developing, I see a great future for him.

I would tend to agree. Big year of development here. I thought Joyce and Jenkins would be NFL capable after their freshman years and they never took the next step.

We're all on pins & needles for the QB spot, glad Bench hung in there and is competing hard--good for us. But please just let the starters look comfortable & confident out there...like they KNOW this stuff now.

Yes like they know what their job is and only their job- like you said comfortable. I think Thor is a lock.

I'll have a go at it. Note - Assuming Durden is not with team, if so, in at CB. One thing is for certain, we are strong up the middle at all 3 levels defensively.

(Starter, Backup)

QB: Bench, White

RB: Pierre, Tice

LT: Williams, Davis

LG: Gudmundsson, Hall

C: Reiter, Amichia

RG: Jozwiak, Threatt

RT: Eatmon, Djulbegovic

TE: Price, McFarland

WR: Davis, Adams

WR: Welch, Dunkley

WR: Duval, Benjamin

DE: Hill, Perry

DT: Watson, Calloway

DT: Chandler, Hector

DE: Lee, Love

LB: Harris, Bullock

LB: Sanchez, Louis

LB: Cliett, Whitehurst

CB: Nichols, Abraham

CB: Ward, Spencer

S: Godwin, Byrd

S: Childs, Saffold

Impact True Fr that will crack the 2 deep over the course of the year: Bronson (WR), Fullwood (WR), McCants (WR), Hudson (OT)

Did i miss something regarding lamar robbins?

Great point.  He was a bit inconsistent last year, but his upside is huge.  I'd put him as a starting CB, but the 2 freshmen could crack in.

Durden would likely be a starter, but I don't know if he's still on the team (drug arrest, if I recall).

Sorry if I missed people,  Defensive backfield starting positions are going to go to the smarter players because it seems a bit crowded, however, there is going to be a lot of rotation facing some pass heavy offenses in the AAC like houston and smu we'll be ready for them I think.
