Was Florida even a state back when he was coaching?

Actually, no ... In fact, one of his seasons here was interrupted by the Seminole Wars.

LOL. Funny stuff, but exactly how much time did he spend on a bench in Curtis Hixon or the Armory or the Sundome (or wherever it was we played BASKETball back then, before electricity)?

You do understand the long, usually wooden, seat inside of the dugout is called a "bench" also .... ?

A great pro career is nice, but it's how well he can coach that matters.   George O'Leary didn't letter in football in college, but his college coaching record is better than average.

I think Coach Strickland will do a great job of recruiting and teaching these kids what to do and not to do on/off the court.

I stand corrected. I'll have my crow with BBQ sauce, please.

For future reference, if in doubt, go with me ... unless grammar and raptor are involved.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
