Good article here.

I'm sure Taggart won't give up on him.  If USF shows marked improvement, and his family really wants to see him play 6-7 times a year, just a short drive away, I think there's still a remote chance.  Slim...but not zero.

This is the type of kid we need to stick around to really make this program turn the corner in the eyes of local "blue chippers." Winning and creating a tangible buzz around this program has got to be a priority for this staff. Win the AAC, and things will fall in line. If after this season, he sticks with Clemson, best of luck to him. Let's go Team Tampa!

Didn't have much hope for him, so not too upset.  At least he isn't going to UF.  Good luck to him.

UF recruiting is a DISASTER right now.  They just held FNL and ended up with fewer verbals than they had before.

We just took St. Louis from the pool of guys they thought they had a shot with.  I look at that schedule and I don't see 10 wins.  I'll be surprised if they pull 8.

I'm sure 4-8 last year, with Muschamp in danger, will make some recruits take a wait & see approach.  Sadly, they are Florida, so barring something terrible, they'll still pull a Top 20 class.

We must have not given him a commitable offer.... I'm not worried about our RB future. : )

this kid is so overrated! doesn't strike me as a loyal type...

McCloud signing financial aid application with Clemson to enroll in January greatly reduces any chance we had, IMO.

Didn't and still don't think we have a real shot with this kid, but the aid agreement is totally non binding with zero risk for the kid. He has no reason not to sign this, even if he switches. Probably not all that much upside either since he's not the type of player who is going to get his offer pulled.

Yes, I see this approach as a better tool for the borderline guys, who want colleges to commit & be obligated, rather than risk getting dumped late.

Good article in the Palm Beach Post today regarding "non-commitable offers" and other gaming of the system.
