Not sure you meant "another Holtz recruit" as a jab at Bivins or not. If you did then you should stop. All the players, regardless of who recruited them, once here are bulls. Chris was not a knucklehead when here just bit by the injuries. Wish him well.

Good post, and I agree.

I, for one, mourn this loss ... if he ever got healthy enough to see the field, he would have been a good one.

Yeah... He told me last week but asked me to keep quiet till the release was granted. Just never meshed with the new staff... That was the main issue.

His own injuries kept him off field and now he bails? Another Holtz recruit for sure

You probably ought to do some research before you go throwing around accusations.

any idea where he's headed?  If he's not divulging, that's cool.

I hate to see him go, as I had high hopes for him, and he seemed like a good kid.  Everyone has to do what's best for themselves...wish him nothing but success.

I think the writing was on the wall with four Freshmen playing this year and 5-7 Freshmen coming next year.

I was a fan of Bivins, I thought and still think he has a ton of untapped potential. He couldn't get out there with the injuries but was good enough to play as a true freshman, or so SH thought. Sad to see him go and wish him the best.

I know he was injured the first two years here, but was he healthy enough to play this year? I see Salinas getting burned by every team we played this year and I was hoping Bivins would get a chance

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
