Elijah Ironside QB Hillgrove High School, Powder Springs GA

Someone should keep an eye on this SR QB, he's flying under the radar. He is a dual thread QB that is currently leading the county in stat. This county has almost 20 high schools with 6 teams in GA top 10, 4 in AAAAAA and two in AAAAA.  They were ranked #9 in the state last week and beat #10 Marietta.  Those are GA Sports Writers rankings. Not much on him except for his stats and some video.

You can see halfway through that first video, played at McEachern High school, their Jumbotron, one of two high schools in the county that has them, the other high school's is the largest at any high school in the country.

Found this... He threw 5 TDs this past weekend.

 

Hillgrove (GA) 47, Walton (GA) 35: The Hawks amassed 547 yards of total yardage. Hillgrove quarterback Elijah Ironside threw five touchdown passes, including two to his favorite target, Justin Denton. Walton quarterback Price Wilson was 23-of-48 passing for 284 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

Quarterback Elijah Ironside tied a school record with five touchdown passes, including two in the second quarter as Hillgrove turned a 3-0 deficit into a 21-3 lead. Ironside completed 19 of 27 passes for 372 yards, and his touchdowns increased his two-game total to eight after passing for three against Westlake last week. Hillgrove led that game 26-0 at halftime before settling for a 26-6 victory.

That wasn't last week. They are 3-0 and their last game was against #10 Marietta.

Now Hillgrove is a new high school, like 7 years  old, so that record isn't like at an old school. BUT, they have been playing in the mix for the playoffs for just about every one of those years so its not like they are average. Max Preps has them ranked at 15 in GA and 360 in the US.

I've seen him as 6'1, 205, that first website has it listed, which is the weight of Grothe and an inch taller, so either he's grown and bulked up or its not the truth.
