Competition is going to be tough for this kid, but the way for USF to help themselves is by winning and doing so early in the season. They also need to finally play a style of ball that is attractive to guys like Sanders. Guys like him will not come here if we see another season of snooze ball. Stan once again has promised to play a style of ball that excites recruits and takes advantage of his team's strengths. Last season was ugly to watch and the record was the same. It costed USF with the 2014 class big time. 2015 looks to be at another level and USF has to be able to get their share of local talent from that class.

He just committed to UCF!

Donnie Jones and UCF has got a strong start to their 2015 class by keeping home both PG Corey Sanders and PF Alex Owens. Both guys are top 100 players for that class. Very, very impressive.
 

USF got a jump on UCF with a stellar 2013 class that included Egbunu, Perry, and Corey Allen. USF and UCF are not only a rival on the field and hardwood, but also in recruiting. We have SG Troy Holston committed for the 2014 class and they have PG BJ Taylor committed with a strong chance at getting SG Adonys Henriquez since he decommitted from Miami. Taylor has talked about all the Orlando kids needing to stay home and playing for UCF. If that does happen they will have some serious talent on their roster the next few years.

The best one in Orlando is SG Antonio Blakeney who everybody wants. I'm sure pressure is on him to go to UCF also. We shall see.

I think it's between UCF and Butler.

 

UCF is doing a great job of keeping the hometown guys. Dwayne Bacon is another key target UCF has to feel confident in getting for the 2015 class. If they land him and Antonio Blakeney they will have gotten all the talented Orlando guys to commit, and would have a top 10, probably top 5 recruiting class for 2015. However we are also talking about what 14 months before these guys could sign with UCF. A lot can happen between that time and guys have decommitted from UCF before.

Back to Henriquez I do think USF would have gotten back in on him, but we already had Hudson committed and didn't feel the need to re-recruit Adonys once he decommitted from Miami.
