he is blowing through the Orioles.  When Kaz comes back they better keep him up.

Rotation

Kazmir

Shields

Sonnanstine

Garza

Hammel or Jackson??? So far I say Hammel is the odd man out.

All of a sudden this team is deep

He pitched a great game tonight.  I agree with your Hammel prediction as well.  He looked just awful yesterday.

they are saying sonnanstine is the only one they can option to durham without having to clear waivers.  if they send him they will get hit just like when they sent longoria

Sonnastine is the odd man out right now. Jackson and Hamell are out of options, and they dont want to risk losing them to waivers.

best case scenario if they put sonnanstine down is to get another bat or good outfielder at the deadline and trade away one pitcher.  They will still have that 1st rd draft pick to bring up as a starter in the next few years.

I say send Hammel to the pen and Kurt Birkins to the pen or send Garza down since he has options

when Kazmir gets traded there will be room for them all.

They're not gonna trade Kaz.  I say let Hammel go.  I've never had faith in him anyways.  Don't mess with the bullpen because they're great right now.

Hammel to the pen, Glover to the DL as a temporary fix.
