- There are 0 Heisman hopefuls in the Big East because the BEast sucks.
- The BEast will have another crappy year,
- Now that WVU is gone, the BEast is bad,

Is she wrong? This Conference does suck, atleast next year we get BSU. This year we better win this joke of a Conference.
The Current Big East is not that much better than CUSA.

I certainly can't think of a viable Heisman candidate from the Big East -- offer up your best one and I'll take you to lunch if he so much as goes to New York as a finalist. And losing West Virginia, the league will have that much more trouble getting a ranked team and the attention that comes with it. Maybe Louisville pops in as a ranked team, but Andrea's opinions aren't anything outside what most national writers think about the Big East going into this season.

The "another reason to hate" threads are the worst part of message boards. The Big East is a huge part of what she covers. I don't know that anyone writes more combined about the league's teams than she does.
So what's your point? Does that mean we have to like the coverage? What are you getting at here?

she doesn't even have like the conference, but it helps when staying interested and up to date.
and sadly, she's not far off. she has some opinion in her articles, which is allowed. the big east isn't the greatest right now. it's still really competitive internally, and has great teams with great talent, but it isn't at the forefront of peoples' minds when they think of college football, unless you're a fan/follower of a school in the BE, or just a hardcore CFB nerd.

If you want respect you need to give respect. Just saying.

Conferences are made of up of individual teams which are followed by groups of fans. If she wants to gain readers and respect from those that bother already, she would do well to show as much respect as possible to the conference, and thereby the teams which you are covering.

he's saying, disagree, but not hate. i dunno why people have such an issue with the espn bloggers. they didn't like brian bennett, and they don't like adelson. they think she wears blue and orange glasses and sits on a couch adorned with black and gold unicorn blankets. she has some oversights and grammatical errors, but people need to remember it's a BLOG. it's not intended to be official reporting. it's interviews, links, collections of outside news...things people can visit and find collective information in one spot. sure, she is "late" reporting news sometimes, but it is a blog, she is under no obligation to post something 10 minutes after it comes out (usf fans on espn aren't really an issue for complaining about that).
This .... unless she starts a campaign to **** the school over.

But, all this thread is doing is making more people read AAs material. So this thread, in all likelyhood is generating more page views and more advertising impressions than she would have otherwise received.
Just don't read her stuff.

DanM gets it pretty well. Dislike the coverage, ignore the coverage, complain about the coverage, but hate is a silly word to use about college football coverage. It's free to you and extremely voluntary for you. Find someone else you like and read them instead.
And no, I didn't say you get to pick where lunch is
AA/DR; BJ wins a heisman; I'll buy every one on this board dinner at Berns
