Greg Auman just tweeted Victor Rudd has decided to forgo his last two seasons and enter the NBA Draft without an agent. He's so selfish, always has been.

He has such a big head. He is no where near NBA-ready. He won't be drafted. Probably just feeling around to see if there is any interest. Won't find any.

Greg Auman@gregaumanUSF sophomore guard Victor Rudd announces he is forgoing final two seasons and submitting name for NBA Draft. Says he is not hiring agent.

Left out that little nugget at the end. How is that selfish by the way?

I didn't leave that out lol, it's in my post...you just missed it? He was always selfish on the court. If anyone rubbed me the wrong way on that team it was him. Bombing up threes and missing, going for the Sports Center highlight dunk instead of the simple layup. He's full of himself. He transfer here for one season and thinks he's the man already and is trying to go pro...pleeeeeeease! :D

It's not selfish. People on this board get angry when a player decides to leave early because they want them to play another year (Scott, DOJO..etc.). If he can do it and gets drafted then great. He could be a 2nd round pick maybe, but I don't see it. He should come back another year, then declare imo.

I never personally met Rudd, but this is the same feeling that I get about him.

Yeah Missed it. My bad. Welcome to NCAABB in 2012. This is how it works and I don't blame him for looking out for his.

He showed some flashes in the tourney and has obvious athletic ability and its his decision to make.

Congrats I hope he is successful. I don't think we would have had the greatest season in usf history without him. I hope he comes back but he the exploratory committee says he will get drafted then I say son get that money now. go Bulls

DoJo was a star at the college level and he's having a very rough go at the NBA level. A few dunks do not get you a job in the NBA.

We'll see what happens. I'm not sure he'll get picked up. He's certainly not first round material. He may discover that and come back next season. As long as he hasn't hired an agent, the possibility exists.

Yeah, it just angers me because I kind of saw this coming. It's just his personality. He was NOT our star. Our star was a 6'1" Freshman PG from Houston, TX. Rudd was just arguably our best highlights guy. He is only developing now. Besides the Marist game (but come on, it's Marist), he had no REAL fire this season. He was good, on a developing level. He needs to come back and keep working on his game. This is only the beginning for USF and for Victor Rudd, if he can keep his head on straight.

I don't want this to sound negative, but I hope he doesn't get picked, and comes back for at least one more year (two would be best :D). Perhaps it will humble him a little bit. He's surely a great talent, but he has much more to learn and sharpen before taking the next step. If anything, he could really improve his draft stock. If he makes the league, he'll be spending a lot of time in the D league, but at least it's a paycheck?

I say pull his scholly and leave him swinging. He has no chance at an NBA career, Whoever he is listening to, is smoking dope, What a frigging moron,.he had a chance to be part of something special, now he will languish in obscurity,I won't even think of him after tonight. He is no longer a Bull. these kids are getting crackhead advice and it just doesn't make any sense. This kid won't even be able to manage a European career,

You guys shouldn't be saying that. It's completely false.

This is VERY common among solid college players. Gus did this last year. He's smart for weighing his options. He has confidence in his game, and believes that he is good enough. He's going to work out for teams and see where he stands. If he finds out that he needs more work, then he will be back here. And if he is back here, we should welcome him.

I really don't see the big deal. He just wants to see where he would be considered right now. I think all of us see he needs more time to develop and would be shocked if he was drafted.....especially in the 1st round.

That said....if he doesn't hire an agent then there is no harm or foul....he can see his viewed worth by the NBA and come back like nothing ever happened.

Even if we lose Rudd....with our incoming players....I think we will be okay. We have an abundance of swingmen. Nash, Poland, Noriega, Brock, Hawkins, Abdul-aleem. I tend to think that unless Hawkins is just lights out as a true freshman.....Heath is going to do every thing in his power to redshirt him.
