...about FSU going to the Big 12 and creating their own "Seminole Network." This would be a great move for USF, as this would potentially open up a spot in the ACC for USF. Discuss.

IF and I mean "hole in one on a Par 5" IF this happens, it would breed hope for USF, but still need it to happen WITH some sort of penalty around the same time against Miami (more like a hole in one on a Par 3). Then the ACC has no product to show in Florida, and that's when desperation/need occurs...

otherwise chalk this up with all the other rumors of the day...

Somehow, as much as I'd like to see it, USF would not receive an invite from the ACC.

I could see a scenario of the ACC going after Louisville (if the Cards are not invited immediately with the Noles), Rutgers or UCONN - or maybe they go all out and do whatever it takes to land Notre Dame.

Even though Miami is set to go on probation, the Canes might provide enough exposure for the ACC in Florida and I think the ACC will concentrate on it's northeast presence.

As always, I could be wrong.

Hope so, but not holding my breath.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. ... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like ... tears in rain. ... Time to die.

why would USF get an invite just because FSU left? There are so many more schools that are in front of us. everyone needs to calm down.

Not necessarily. If FSU leaves, that leaves a big hole in FL prescense even with Miami still in the conference.

Miami is going to be hit hard with NCAA sanctions (UCF as well). The ACC will want our market, so we would be a good choice for them.

At this point I'm not sure we'd want to go. The Big East can get the same type of money that the ACC got and still be able to have our third tier games too unlike the ACC... The ACC just got one of the worst tv deals out of any major conference... It would be a blessing in descise if FSU and Clemson bounce because that means we keep UL and may get a better deal for our contract... PITT and SYR may really be shaking in their sheets right now they could be in some deep doodoo come November when the Big East has a better deal than the ACC and they're in a conference with no true football teams anymore...

Exactly. ... Let me know when the BM says that FSU's leaving for the B12 and then I'll know the official announcement is only a couple of hours away.

Sounds like UL is a done deal to B12 and FSU is working on their 3rd tier media package. Gonna be a huge money jump from the ACC's $17MM. It's at least $20MM/yr + a premium of another $2-3 MM after they and UL make the jump, conference championship game money and then they likely score big money on the Fabulous 4 playoff. What will remain of ACC and B12 will be the scraps of a playoff berth and The best teams in both merging(think FB and BB schools separating). ESPN will have cut NBC's ***'* off for an upcoming BE bid and ND will have to finally jump in the briar patch if they want a legit shot at future NC games, The B1G, Pac-12, B12 and SEC along with ESPN are orchestrating the new landscape. ESPN will pick up the pieces of the ACC and BE when they are done and they have to do it before the BE takes whatever FOX or NBC will offer in the fall. The game is on again, I am afraid.

ACC would be a much better option than the BE. I hope all these what ifs play out and we get out of this crap hole of a conference.
