Hundreds of students at the University of South Florida hoped to set a record for speed dating today as they talk about their "bucket lists."
The goal was to have more than 250 students engaged in the event, and the idea for it came from the authors of "The Buried Life," a book that focuses on things the young authors want to do before they die.
An official monitor was on hand from Guinness World Records. Several volunteer monitors eavesdropped on conversations to make sure they followed the guidelines.

We did get the record despite several people leaving in the middle of the attempt. It was a lot of fun and I got a free ticket to "The Avengers". Good times indeed.

I'll bet the guys from "The Buried Life" did. The girls were throwing themselves all over them. I even had to talk to a girl from the school up north who drove all the way down here just to meet them.

What is "The Buried Life"? The only thing I watch on tv anymore are sports or Eastbound and Down. Kenny Powers helped me to develop my sensitive side when it comes to internet posting.

From their website: Book Signing: University of Southern Florida - Tampa
Reality television "stars" (and I use that term loosely) can go get ******. If you and your PR department can't take two seconds to name the location of your book signing correctly on your website, why should I give a ****. I'll stick to watching sports and ******* random chicks that are slightly more interesting.
