ACtually its vs ACC # 5. If you read the article it says

it will have the ACC's fourth pick after the Bowl Championship Series starting next year.

Which really means 5th.  This is the ACCs bowl lineup

No Jim, SEC #4 added Gator Bowl, pushing Chic fil a down and keeping the other bowls where they are...for now

True.  My source was from an article quoting Big East commissioner saying they PJC is working to get SEC #8.

The Pj.com is trying to move up, but the Liberty seems to be balking at that.  So they are apparently working on some type of sharing agreement for the #8.  We need this to be #8, or else we will get stuck playing the Sunbelt 50-75% of the time.

From one article:

Currently, the Music City and Liberty share the Nos. 6 and 7 picks. Under one scenario being seriously discussed, the Music City would pick No. 7 and the Liberty and Papajohns.com Bowl would share the 8 and 9 picks.

That doesn't sit well with the Liberty, which is the only SEC bowl not paired against a BCS opponent. Last year, there were no eligible SEC teams at 8 and 9 for the Independence, which is leaving after this season, and Papajohns.com bowls.

The Papajohns.com has been pushing to move up a slot. The Big East has strongly stated that playing a bowl in Birmingham makes sense if the SEC is the opponent. How the Big East feels about a shared 8/9 pick remains a question, too.

It's not clear what viable options, if any, the Liberty has if it's required to share with the Papajohns.com. Five of the Liberty's 10 most-attended games involve an SEC team, including the top three.

I don't know.  To listen to the average SEC fan, you get the feeling that the worst SEC team could win the NFC East. Smiley

Silly Yankee bowl should have been Big 10 instead of Big 12.  We'll never see that bowl game.  The stadium would be empty if both teams had to travel so far for a mediocre prize.

We'll see our games down here (PPJ/Car Care/St. Pete) during the years and the Yankee bowl will be relegated to Rutgers and UConn.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Sadly, I think we would travel better to NY than most people think. I would enjoy a trip to NY, almost everyone here has some family or friends up there. There are lots of flights so you can usually find a good deal. Yet, I doubt we would ever be given that opportunity. We shall see, mind you, I would prefer if we could consistently play in a BCS game so this won't be a question.
